   
Event producers The Powder Group are pleased to announce the pairing of two beauty industry legends for The American Beauty Tour’s New Orleans fundraiser on November 4, when hairstyling icon Ruth Roche will join celebrity makeup artist Billy B for this one-of-a-kind event.
The New Orleans event will break the mold for the tour and bring together the hair and makeup expertise of two of the countries leading creative talents for a three hour seminar where they will demonstrate the incomparable talent that has made them two of the most in-demand artists in the business. They will speak about their career, the industry, the techniques and products that they love, and demonstrate their craft on two models. The event is consumer-friendly and geared toward anyone with a passion for the art of beauty. Billy and Ruth will take a pro-to-pro approach to their demonstrations while including tips that will improve every attendee’s personal or professional work, whether they make their living in the industry or simply love beauty.
The New Orleans fundraiser is a benefit for Hairdressers Unlocking Hope – a Vidal Sassoon and Behindthechair.com initiative, supporting Habitat for Humanity in their post-Katrina New Orleans rebuilding efforts. W Hotels are the official hotel sponsor for The American Beauty Tour and the New Orleans event will be hosted at the W French Quarter.
In addition to the afternoon seminar, the New Orleans fundraiser will include an evening cocktail party in the beautiful courtyard of the W French Quarter. The incomparable Bacco restaurant and Absolut Spirits will provide hors d’oeuvres and cocktails for the event, which will be attended by Billy and Ruth along with The Powder Group New York team and special guests.
