Presented by The Powder Group Founder, Michael DeVellis, and James Vincent, Evolution is our most iconic event. The program is a five-day retreat and forum that will bring together 12 creatives for a week of intensive artistic, business, and personal development, career, relationship, and business building. The event approaches the attendee’s professional and personal development through a unique approach focusing on nine principles: Focus, Insight, Clarity, Examination, Creation, Precision, Control, Perception, Discovery.

Nearly 20 years ago, when we began planning Evolution, our goal was to create an event that would be unique in many ways and would challenge the artists attending to push themselves to new places in their creative, business, and personal paths. We wanted to provide a resource for development that didn’t currently exist in the pro-makeup artist arena and one that would create a new way of thinking about the career of makeup artistry. We wanted to give artists the power to challenge the what is and explore the what could be.

Now, so many years later and with hundreds of participants having gone through the program, evolution has taken on a new life once again. The program, while steadfast in its core principles and process, now includes less makeup-specific programming and ensures a program built for today’s creative — a program for anyone in the creative industries.
